To give birth, make a child, relatively simple(for most). It's what comes next that's HARD.
It's hard to say NO, over and over and over again.
It's hard to discipline.
It's hard to teach and be patient.
It's hard to stand your ground and be mean.
Life's lessons start at home, with us, parents. If we give in, or give up, what are we teaching then?
This is not a job for pushovers or the lazy. It ain't easy being a parent.

My mind has been on this very topic for the last couple of weeks. It is dang hard. Especially since I don't know what the heck I'm doing. What worked with Maeby doesn't work with Ellie. I say lots and lots of prayers.
