July Family and fun!

Sorry, there aren't any pictures yet to accompany this post, so sad I know! We drove up to Idaho at the beginning of the month for Dustin's family reunion. We had a great time catching up with cousins and sibs and Damen LOVED playing with all the kids. He got to jump on the trampoline, play in the sandbox, go fourwheeling, swimming in the hot springs, run and jump and just have fun! There were 6 little blond boys under the age of 4 and two more brunettes so there was always someone to play with. We drove up on his birthday so we celebrated it on the 3rd with the whole family. He was most excited about the real golf club that his Pa got him.

After we got back we started to prepare the house for our new addition! Yup, we got a roommate, my sister Lori has moved in for a few months while she pursues a new career. The week before she got here Dustin's parents came down to take some classes in San Diego so we hung out with them at Sea World and Dustin went to a Padres game with his Dad. His mom and I went to IKEA, which was awesome, always an adventure.

So that's what we've been up to this month and next week, a whole new set of adventures when my other sister, her son, and boyfriend get here!
How on earth do I have time to do the laundry, keep the bathrooms clean, fix dinner, AND reread the Twilight series you may ask??? That's a whole 'nother blog:)

My birthday Celebration!

We went to Disneyland on my Big Exciting Birthday this year, mostly because it was free! In case you didn't know, this year if you go to Disneyland on your birthday it's free, but you have to register first. We had a great time enjoying the rides and the nice weather. Sitting down to lunch we saw something I have NEVER seen before at Disneyland, and I've been there a few times, sorry Mickey, you may want to avoid this attraction.

The Hammock

This is THE hammock I bought for Dustin on the Isle of Roatan in Honduras. There's a great story to go along with it thanks to my sister Christi and our guide Carlos. Ask me sometime.

Lots to share, again:)

These are cupcakes I made after taking a cake decorating class, they were DELICIOUS!, and cute too.

Goodbye goodtimes

Well, it's official, I'm old. I am no longer carefree, living it up, irresponsibly young. I'm 30. That's right, I've said goodbye, held the memorial and buried my 20's. They are dead to me.

OH the stories!!

Finally! I've been waiting for some weeks now to post this stuff! Dustin had all these pictures on his phone and I really like telling stories with pictures so here they are:

In May we took a trip to St. George to meet up with Dustin's parents who were visiting there. We took a drive on Sunday up through Snow canyon and got out to walk around, it was really beautiful. We had a good time catching up with them and meeting other family members at great Aunt Bee's birthday party. The picture above is Damen and Papa keeping up with him!

The day before we left for the cruise Dustin took Damen camping to the "Father and Sons" church campout. It was great for me because I was able to pack with NO distractions. The picture below is a picture of Damen with a small mountain/peak in the distance, a portion of it is highlighted with arrows because that's where Dustin found Damen (and took pictures of that below). Damen had apparently gotten away unnoticed and decided it looked like a fun place to play, up there on the side of the rocky hillside, someone called out to Dustin, "hey isn't that your kid up there?" and away he ran to save our little mountain goat. Thankfully I didn't hear the whole story until later. . .

After the cruise, some saturday in June we went to the local airshow and this is Damen demonstrating to Olivia how to take down the enemy with the automatic weapon in his hand, nice.

I REALLY REALLY loved the Mayan ruins in Belize and these are some of the pictures Dustin captured for me on his phone, not bad!

Masks outside the Sun temple.

The presumed bath house.

View from the top.

A few weeks ago this was the view from our house, pretty crazy weather for this desert town, but it was kind of spectacular to look at.

And last week Damen and I went swimming at a friends house, then later out to Frozen Yogurt with Dan and Melissa and Olivia. Dustin took this picture to showcase what an awesome mom I am getting sunscreen in just a few places so Damen's sunburn looks like somekind of super-hero mask.

And those are the stories of our lives for the past two months, oh the memories!

Gotta love it!

All day long Damen says to me:

"Hey mommy, guess what?"

"What Damen?"

"I love you"

Ahhhhh, I wonder how long this will last.
